This is one of my favorite stops at the local farmers market… Bitchin Sauce. I bought some on Sunday and looked at the ingredients and realized I had all of them in my pantry… and my almonds were already soaking so I thought I would attempt to whip up a batch. This is what I came up with! It isn’t exact, but it is very close and very delicious.

Farmer’s Market Raw Almond Hummus aka Cilantro Chili ‘Bitchin Sauce’

3/4 c. raw almonds (soaked overnight)
3/4 c. + filtered water
1/4 c. olive oil
1/4 c. grape seed oil
1/4 c. lemon juice (about 1.5 lemons)
3 tbsp. nutritional yeast
2 cloves garlic
2 tsp. bragg liquid aminos
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. coriander
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 handful fresh organic cilantro


Place all ingredients in VitaMix. Slowly blend for one minute. Turn the dial up to high, and continue to blend for 1-2 minutes or until smooth and creamy.
Store in the refrigerator or freezer. Sauce may separate so just stir up when serving.
